Mace, January 2 - Mrs. Mamie Buchanan Loop, wife of Clyde Loop and well known resident of this community, died at her home two miles east of Mace, near Union church at 12:45 o'clock, Monday afternoon following an illness of one week. Pleural pneumonia from which she has suffered since last Monday night caused her death. Mrs. Loop was born near Darlington on January 8, 1878, a daughter of Frank and Tillie Buchanan. She was married to Clyde Loop on June 28, 1899. She resided in this community since her marriage. The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church of Darlington and was a member of the Loyal Workers class of the Mace Methodist church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Loop is survived by her mother and one sister, Mrs. Charles Williamson, of Darlington, four nephews and one niece.
